Week 9 Fantasy Hockey Streamers

https://www.hockeywilderness.com/2017/12/29/16828880/wilderness-walk-zach-is-that-you-zach-parise-return-soon-minnesota-wild

This week the NHL has an interesting schedule with nine teams having a four-game week (Arizona, Buffalo, Chicago, New Jersey, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Los Angles, San Jose, & Vegas) and four teams having a two-game week (Calgary, Detroit, Nashville, & Vancouver.) The slow days of the week of Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday even have 10 teams playing in three out of four of those days which can allow for a nice maximization of rosters with a wide spread of games throughout the week. The Blackhawks, Ducks, Kings, Oilers, and Rangers all have three off night games this week, so they are a great place to look at pickup streaming options off of.

Zach Parise, LW, Minnesota Wild (27%) – Parise has been on fire for the last 11 games picking up eight goals and three assists, shooting 32% in that span. Parise is a career 11.6% shooter, so I wouldn’t expect him to keep this pace up, but he’s certainly worth picking up as long as he remains hot.

Jared Spurgeon, D, Minnesota Wild (24%) – Another Wild player that has been performing well is Spurgeon who is beginning to pick up more points in games with one goal and five assists in the last five games, but another category where he has stepped up is in the blocks category. Over those last five games he has averaged 4.2 blocks-per-game after averaging 1.3 per game up until his last five matches. Spurgeon isn’t a guy who is going to rack up loads of shots or hits, but if he continues blocking a relatively high amount of shots and continues chipping in points, he is a guy to keep your eye on.

Andrew Shaw, C/RW, Chicago Blackhawks (7%) - Shaw could provide an interesting deeper add. Chicago has one of the best schedules this week with four games and three of them coming on slow nights. With Strome out hurt, Shaw is getting minutes on the top PP and he could be set up to pick up a few points this week playing with that unit.

Cam Fowler, D, Anaheim Ducks (21%) – Fowler has seen increasing minutes in his last four games, and it has shown on the score sheet. He has been playing an average of over 24 minutes-per-game and has one goal and four assists in this span. With Anaheim having a good match-up week this week, he could be a good streaming option.

Adam Fox, D, New York Rangers (26%) – The Rangers might have the best schedule this week, with being in the same boat as the Ducks of having four games with three of them on off nights. The Rangers get to play Vegas twice who are currently without their star goalie in Fleury out and it is currently unknown if he will play in their first game on Monday. They then play back-to-back matches against two teams averaging over three goals/game against in the Blue Jackets and Canadiens. Before the Canadiens game against the Bruins on Sunday, they are coming off of four games where they gave up six, eight, six and four goals going into that match which could be a juicy match-up for whoever gets to play against them.
