The Edmonton Oilers and Detroit Red Wings have two schedules that in theory are fantastic. Both teams feature all of their games on the slow days of; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Monday and Friday feature only eight teams in action and Wednesday has four, so hitting all three of these days certainly maximizes your roster potential. Two of the Oilers' games are back-to-back games for opposing teams that will be traveling to Edmonton (St. Louis & New Jersey.) New Jersey have remained winless in their second game of back-to-backs in both attempts this season.

Mike Smith, G, (52%) is someone I would add if the Oilers continue their rotation of two starts and then two off nights for their goalies. Smith would be on schedule to start against the Devils.

If you’re desperate to get on a player from the Red Wings I would look at owning a share of either Filip Hronek, D, (23%) who is now going to see the bulk of the PP time with Mike Green currently out of the lineup, or Tyler Bertuzzi, LW/RW (52%) who is riding a nice three game point streak and hasn’t gone back-to-back games without picking up a point yet this season.

Ten other teams with four game weeks: Boston, New York Rangers, New Jersey, Vancouver, Chicago, Toronto, Arizona, Ottawa, Philadelphia, and Las Vegas. All of these provide good roster maximization and volume plays for the week.

Ryan Strome, C/RW, New York Rangers (24%) – While Mika Zibanejad is out injured Strome is playing top line minutes with over 20 minutes/game since taking Zibanejad’s spot in the lineup. He is currently on a 6-game point streak with four goals and four assists over that span. With Zibanejad’s return still unknown I would look to roster him.

Alexander Georgiev, G, New York Rangers (19%) – The Rangers have a good schedule this week playing Ottawa and Detroit on Tuesday and Thursday who are both in the bottom eight in goals/game in the league, and Georgiev has already been named starter for the game Tuesday. He could be a player to keep your eye on in the future as he has been playing well and might start getting more playing time over Lundqvist if he continues his hot start.

Jakub Vrana, LW, Washington Capitals (39%) – If you grabbed Vrana as a Sunday streamer you walked away pretty happy about that choice. Vrana is coming off of back-to-back multi-goal games with two against Buffalo and three last night against Calgary. Washington’s schedule isn’t ideal this week as they only have two games, but they have one of the best schedules next week with four games so he could be a mid-week add and carry over to the following week.
