Waiver Wire Wishlist (Fantasy Football) - Week 10

Boy, did we swing and miss on a few of our suggestions a week ago. The Saints went with Trevor Siemian who led them to a victory. DeVante Parker is back on the IR as well. We did have some small victories with the likes of Brandon Aiyuk and Jordan Howard. Heck, the ageless Adrian Peterson ran the ball ten times and scored a touchdown last week. As we hit double digits in weeks, we look to improve from a week ago. Onto Week 10!

I typically like to keep my suggestions around, or below, the 40-percent owned mark in both Yahoo and/or ESPN leagues. The format I’ll follow is one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers and one tight end. As always, the Streamable Defenses of the Week article will drop tomorrow (Tuesday) and Nate’s B-Team series will drop every Saturday. Be sure to follow We Know Fantasy (@WeKnowFantasy) on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to keep up-to-date with all of our fantasy football content.

Like I previously mentioned, the Saints went elsewhere with their quarterback after the Jameis Winston torn ACL. Peterson scored a touchdown and Jeremy McNichols managed just 6.5 fantasy points, seeing just three targets. Boston Scott managed just 40 yards on 10 carries as Howard ran the ball 17 times for 71 yards and a touchdown. Parker is back on the IR and Aiyuk caught six-of-eight targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. Jamal Agnew caught three-of-five targets in a game that did not feature a touchdown. Pat Freiermuth has a touchdown at the time of me writing this article.

Week 9 Results

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints) - 1.72 points

Adrian Peterson (Tennessee Titans) - 9.6 points

Jeremy McNichols (Tennessee Titans) - 6.5 points

Boston Scott (Philadelphia Eagles) - 4 points

Jordan Howard (Philadelphia Eagles) - 13.1 points

DeVante Parker (Miami Dolphins) - 0 points

Brandon Aiyuk (San Francisco 49ers) - 18.7 points

Jamal Agnew (Jacksonville Jaguars) - 6.8 points

Pat Freiermuth (Pittsburgh Steelers) - Yet to Play

Week 10 Suggestions

Quarterback

Teddy Bridgewater (Denver Broncos) - Owned in 26% of Yahoo and 24.7% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: vs. PHI

Teddy Bridgewater and the Denver Broncos quietly took down the 6-1 Dallas Cowboys in Week 9. He threw for 249 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for a score. The Broncos’ are entering a stretch of favorable matchups, starting with the Eagles in Week 10. After a Week 11 bye week, they get the likes of the Chargers, Chiefs, Lions, Bengals, Raiders, Chargers and Chiefs to end the season. A bunch of great matchups in terms of fantasy performances down the stretch for Teddy and company.

Runningbacks

Jordan Howard (Philadelphia Eagles) - Owned in 14% of Yahoo and 8.5% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: @DEN

The Eagles placed Miles Sanders on the IR this past week, meaning we get a few more weeks of Jordan Howard leading the Eagles’ backfield. Now, after recording 29 carries, 128 yards and three touchdowns in two games without Sanders, it should be safe to assume that Howard is the back to own in Philly until Sanders’ returns. Use him now before it’s too late. At this rate, he deserves a permanent spot in this offense, even upon Sanders’ eventual return.

Devonta Freeman (Baltimore Ravens) - Owned in 21% of Yahoo and 13.8% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: @MIA

Devonta Freeman was a man lost in the mix of a crowded waiver wire a week ago, and we too forgot about him. Not this week however. He’s now scored a touchdown in three straight weeks and seems to be the lead back in this run-first offense. He split carries with Le’Veon Bell but ran the ball 13 times for 79 yards as well as recording a receiving touchdown. Don’t forget Freeman this week as he continues to hold flex value. Freeman also gets back-to-back favorable matchups with the Dolphins and Bears.

Wide Receivers

Donvan Peoples-Jones (Cleveland Browns) - Owned in 13% of Yahoo and 5.5% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: @NE

The Cleveland Browns moved on from Odell Beckham Jr. and it proved to be the right move on Sunday. Without the star receiver, the Browns hung 41 on a decent Bengals’ team. Part of that big victory was Peoples-Jones. He’s a big play waiting to happen. Coming out of college he was defined as the ideally built receiver but his pass catching abilities is what hindered him. The Browns may have found a later round gem with DPJ, who has now gone over 70 receiving yards and has three touchdowns in his last three games.

Elijah Moore (New York Jets) - Owned in 27% of Yahoo and 15.3% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: vs. BUF

Elijah Moore was one of the forgotten receivers in this past draft class due to the loaded top end. He’s proving why many put a first round grade on him however with his recent run of play. He has caught 13 balls over the last two games and has seen at least six targets in three straight games. He’s fresh off a career game (small sample size) as he caught seven-of-eight targets for 84 yards and two touchdowns, all season and career highs.

Tight End

Pat Freiermuth (Pittsburgh Steelers) - Owned in 40% of Yahoo and 32.9% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: vs. DET

There isn’t much more to say. I know he was my tight end suggestion a week ago but as long as he’s owned in under 40-percent of leagues, he’ll remain my tight end suggestion. As I’m writing this article he has caught a touchdown on Monday Night Football. He’s developing nicely into the NFL and is only going to get better.
