Streamable Defenses - Week 10

https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2019/11/2/20945451/packers-olb-zadarius-smith-ticketed-for-marijuana-possession-per-reports

This week we converted a few jumpshots. We didn’t get any three-pointers or half-court buckets, but we scored points and that’s a move forward from a week ago. We’re going to take that extra step outside the arch in Week 10 and do our best Trae Young impersonations, score a lot of points in the streamable defenses series!

The premise of this article is to bring forth three streamable defenses that fantasy football players should look to use for that respective week. To qualify for this series, defenses must be owned in less than 40-percent of Yahoo and/or ESPN leagues. At least one of the suggested defenses will be owned in less than 10-percent of Yahoo and/or ESPN leagues to cater to every fantasy player. You can find last week’s results below and previous week’s results at the bottom of this article.

The Washington Football Team, our top options for Week 9, scored five fantasy points against the New York Football Giants. That’s a respectable amount of points, especially when streaming defenses. Washington used five sacks of Daniel Jones to get those points on Sunday. Arizona played a much closer-than-expected game in a loss to the Dolphins. Tua was clicking as Arizona was only able to sack the rookie two times. The Texans used two sacks and an interception of rookie first-time-started Jake Luton on Sunday to record four points.

Week 9 Results

Washington Football Team vs. New York Giants - 5 points

Arizona Cardinals vs. Miami Dolphins - 2 points

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars - 4 points

Week 10 Suggestions

Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars - Owned in 38% of Yahoo and 25.3% of ESPN leagues

The Packers will play host to Jake Luton and the Jaguars in just the second start for the sixth-round rookie. Doug Marrone has already stated that Gardner Minshew is “unlikely to be available” for Sunday’s game. Luton did look decent against the Houston Texans, but let's be honest, we can all look decent against the Texans. He threw for over 300 yards but did have an interception. This Green Bay defense is much better than the Texans, as we saw on Thursday Night Football a week ago against the 49ers. Just for the fact that they’re getting Luton, the Packers’ defense is a must play this week.

Detroit Lions vs. Washington Football Team - Owned in 3% of Yahoo and 4.8% of ESPN leagues

How many times am I going to play and ultimately get disappointed by the Lions’ defense this year? I guess at least once more because here they are. This defense is not what I thought it would be at the start of the season but they do get a good matchup here. Washington has allowed the sixth most fantasy points to opposing defenses and are even more short handed this week as Alex Smith is set to start. Nothing against Smith, but with his former injury, his playbook and abilities are very limited. Washington won’t put up a large number of points. Smith also threw three interceptions against the Giants on Sunday. Expect less than 20 points out of the Football Team and at least one turnover.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears - Owned in 24% of Yahoo and 15.7% of ESPN leagues

The Chicago Bears have allowed the ninth most fantasy points to opposing defenses with their lackluster quarterback play from both Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles on the season. The Vikings’ defense just had a fantastic week against the Detroit Lions where they recorded two sacks and three interceptions. They also allowed just 20 points. I hate to say it, but the Lions’s offense is much better than the Bears is.
