The Ryan Finley experiment failed in Cincinnati. The truth is, he wasn’t given the chance to succeed, behind one of the worst offensive lines and void of the team’s best receiver… the same problems Andy Dalton was dealing with this season. The Bengals have chosen to go back to Andy Dalton in, what I’m guessing, to be their last chance to not be the third 0-16 team in NFL history.
Tyler Boyd becomes a high end WR2, low end WR1 again, and is officially a must start every week again. Auden Tate if he comes back becomes enticing when he’s back in the lineup. The biggest link to this is we could see A.J. Green come back to the Bengals. Green is only owned in 70% of leagues and a lot of people have given up on him. I would take a peak as he is worth a stash with Dalton coming back to the team.
If you’re in super flex leagues I would be adding Dalton, he should be a high end QB2 and he should always be throwing the ball because the defense can’t keep the offense off the field to save their life. He should be a solid streamer for the fantasy playoff stretch. He has the Jets this week, Browns the next and the Dolphins championship week. With his only down match up being against the Patriots in Week 15. We're back to where we were before the benching and I would be keeping an eye out for Dalton on waivers.
