Waiver Wire Wishlist – Week 10

By: WeKnowFantasy

Another week down in the fantasy season and believe it or not the playoff push is right around the corner. With just a few games to go before the postseason and the fantasy trade deadline just around the corner in most leagues, its time to build up that roster that will give your team its best opportunity at postseason success. Some teams are in must-win-now mode in order to get to the postseason. Weekly streaming options are available for that too! Read below to see who to pick up this week if you qualify for either of the situations listed above.

Week 10 Suggestions

Quarterback

Jimmy Garoppolo (San Francisco 49ers) - Owned in 18% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: vs. LAC

First things first, check your waiver wires for Justin Fields. If you read this article, hopefully you picked him up last week and played him for his QB1 performance like I suggested. If not, make sure he is owned before moving on. He’s currently owned in 47% of ESPN leagues, which is too high for this article. If you can’t get your hands on Fields (shame on you) take a gander at Jimmy G this week. I feel like I write about Garoppolo a lot here, but he's got four consecutive fantasy performances with 20-23 fantasy points in 6-point passing touchdown leagues. He comes off the bye with hopefully a healthy Deebo Samuel as well as a healthy Christian McCaffrey. The weapons are there for Jimmy G to succeed this week.

Other options: Justin Fields (47%), Jared Goff (34%).

Running Backs

Rachaad White (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) - Owned in 20% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: vs. SEA

Once again the running back pool is a bit shallow this week, but White is certainly an interesting prospect. Rumor has it White may overtake Leonard Fournette as the lead back in the Tampa backfield sooner rather than later. Despite being the current RB9 in half-point PPR fantasy leagues, Fournette has averaged over three yards per carry in just two games this season. Meanwhile White’s snap share has been on the rise as he’s averaged at least three yards per carry in each of the last four games. Grab White while you can and hope he earns a shot to start in the near future.

Chuba Hubbard (Carolina Panthers) - Owned in 14% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: vs. ATL

Hubbard has missed two weeks due to an ankle injury, but is back to practice this week. In his most recent action back in week seven he produced double-digit fantasy points with nine carries for 63 yards and a score in the Panthers’ first game without Christian McCaffrey on the roster. He should have a role despite some solid recent performances by D’Onta Foreman. Grab him and see what the plan is for his usage going forward.

Other options: Jeff Wilson Jr. (45%), Gus Edwards (37%).

Wide Receivers

Mecole Hardman (Kansas City Chiefs) - Owned in 36% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: vs. JAX

Hardman has been an interesting player over the past few seasons, but he’s been getting prime usage lately in the Kansas City offense. He’s had four consecutive double-digit fantasy performances, and though some have been fluky, Hardman has found paydirt five times in the past three games. He’s hot right now and is coming off a nine-target game which is a season high. He looks to be a reliable receiver for Patrick Mahomes at the moment. Ride the wave while he’s hot.

Odell Beckham Jr. (N/A) - Owned in 21% of ESPN leagues

Week 9 Matchup: N/A

OBJ is still a free agent, but his time is coming. If you’re a deep playoff-bound team that can afford to burn a roster spot on him, now is a good time to grab him. OBJ is certain to help out whatever team he ends up on, and I’d expect him to find a team soon. He’s expected to be cleared from his ACL injury by the end of the week. He’s been linked to many teams including the Packers, Bills, Rams and even the Chiefs. He provides and instant boost to whatever team he joins and could do the same for your fantasy teams.

Other options: Michael Gallup (41%).

Tight End

Greg Dulcich (Denver Broncos) - Owned in 29% of ESPN leagues

Week 10 Matchup: @TEN

Greg D comes off a bye week and has been impressive in his short time running routes for Denver. In just three games Dulcich has recorded 12 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown. Coming off the bye week I’d expect the rookie’s involvement to continue to go up. He’s a decent fill in if you need a tight end.

Other options: Noah Fant (32%).
