We didn’t achieve our 100 point goal for the second straight week after setting our personal record for the B-Team in Week 9. We didn’t have that bad of a performance however, considering our runningbacks combined for 10.4 points. We have a handful of weeks to reach our goal a few more times to help boost our overall results. Let's get into Week 12.
This is a series where I construct a hypothetical fantasy football lineup using players that are owned in less than 40-percent of Yahoo and/or ESPN leagues. The goal of the series is to top 100 PPR fantasy points using the make-shift team. The premise is to show that there is readily available value at all times across most waiver wires. You can find last week’s results below and the result of previous weeks at the bottom of this article.
Kirk Cousins has put together multiple quality fantasy starts in a row, which is kind of shocking to be honest. Our success as a whole is very reliant on our quarterback’s weekly success. Our top positional player performance was Michael Pittman Jr., as the rookie continues to impress in the second half of this season. Pittman used 66 yards and a touchdown on three receptions to tally 15.6 fantasy points. Dalton Schultz was our only other player to top 10 fantasy points, Schultz recorded a touchdown in route to 12.5 fantasy points. We need a much better performance from our team in Week 12.
Week 11 Results
Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings) - 22.96 points
Kerryon Johnson (Detroit Lions) - 5.8 points
Jordan Wilkins (Indianapolis Colts) - 4.6 points
Jalen Reagor (Philadelphia Eagles) - 9.2 points
Michael Pittman Jr. (Indianapolis Colts) - 15.6 points
Dalton Schultz (Dallas Cowboys) - 12.5 points
Keelan Cole Jr. (Jacksonville Jaguars) - 4.6 points

Total: 80.26 points
Week 12 Lineup
Quarterback
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Miami Dolphins) - Owned in 9% of Yahoo and 3.6% of ESPN leagues
Tua Tagovailoa is doubtful for Sunday’s game with the New York Jets, meaning that journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick should get the start. Earlier this season, Fitzpatrick was benched to make way for Tua, who is the future of the Miami Dolphins. Fitaptrick’s benching came as a surprise as he had been playing well prior. In six starts this season, Fitzpatrick has thrown for more than 315 yards in three of them. On top of this, he gets the Jets this week, who have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Fitzpatrick is a great stream in redraft and DFS formats this week as well.
Runningbacks
Brian Hill (Atlanta Falcons) - Owned in 37% of Yahoo and 20.9% of ESPN leagues
Like Fitzpatrick, Hill is getting an uptick in fantasy value due to his starter being out. Getting the start, Hill gets a great matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders, who has allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing runningbacks. Outside of last week where he left injured, Gurley has seen at least 16 opportunities (carries and targets) in each game this season. If Hill gets upwards of 16 chances against this poor Raiders’ defense, he’s going to have one heck of a fantasy week.
Benny Snell Jr. (Pittsburgh Steelers) - Owned in 27% of Yahoo and 5.8% of ESPN leagues
James Conner has appeared on the Steelers’ COVID list and will likely miss Tuesday’s game with the Baltimore Ravens. Although the matchup is not ideal as the Ravens have allowed the 12th fewest fantasy points to opposing runningbacks, getting the lead back for the Steelers is a must. Snell had a great Week 1 against the Giants where he started for Conner and ran for 113 yards. The matchups are different, but Snell has shown flashes of qualityness in his early career.
Wide Receivers
Kendall Hinton (Denver Broncos) - Owned in 10% of Yahoo and 0% of ESPN leagues
I looked through the rule book (that I made up) and it stated that I can play Hinton at wide receiver in my B-Team due to his wide receiver eligibility on Yahoo. This comes into question because he is only quarterback eligible on ESPN. Anyhow, call it what you will, but as the rule maker, I’m going with it. We all know at this point that everyone of the Broncos’ three quarterbacks are ineligible to play against the Saints. It’s been reported that practice squad wide receiver, Hinton, “will play plenty” on quarterback against the Saints. Anytime I can get a quarterback into a position that isn’t the quarterback slot I go with it.
Nelson Agholor (Las Vegas Raiders) - Owned in 42% of Yahoo and 29.5% of ESPN leagues
I’m defying the rules again and going with Agholor. I know he’s owned in more than 40-percent of Yahoo leagues but as he’s owned in less than 30-percent of ESPN leagues. I’d call that eligible. Agholor gets a matchup with the Atlanta Falcons who have allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. He is also coming off of a big game last week in that close loss to the Chiefs. He saw nine targets, caught six of them for 88 yards and a score. I don’t see why he can’t repeat such a performance this week against this poor Falcons’ defense.
Tight End
Jordan Reed (San Francisco 49ers) - Owned in 24% of Yahoo and 14.9% of ESPN leagues
Now that Raheem Mostert is back, we can expect the 49ers to want to run the ball more, but with the way the Rams are playing, they’re going to have to pass the ball. The Rams are the best in the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. If the 49ers are to move the ball through the air, it may have to go through Reed. Last time the 49ers were on the field prior to their bye week, Reed saw six targets as he caught five of them for 62 yards.
Flex
Jalen Reagor (Philadelphia Eagles) - Owned in 28% of Yahoo and 22.1% of ESPN leagues
Jalen Reagor is the poor man’s Cole Beasley of the past. If you follow this series you know Beasley is our most played player between the two seasons this series has been going for. Reagor may be the second. I love getting this guy in my lineup and it’s just a matter of time before he pops off. I know I say this every week but if there’s a time to do it, it’s this week against the Seattle Seahawks who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. There's no doubt this Eagles team will be playing from behind. Zach Ertz won’t return this week as well, keeping Reagor as Wentz’ favorite target.
Defense
Carolina Panthers - Owned in 4% of Yahoo and 4.4% of ESPN leagues
The last time the Panthers’ defense was on the field, they didn’t allow the Detroit Lions to score a single point. On top of this, Kirk Cousins has thrown the second most interceptions thus far this season. Additionally, the Panthers had a season high five sacks a week ago. I know Cousins has played well recently, but we know how quickly his wheels can fall off week-to-week.
