Locks and Keys: NFL Exclusive Edition

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/giants-name-daniel-jones-starting-quarterback-for-week-3-could-the-giants-trade-eli-manning-next/

This week's series will be a very condensed version, it's been a pretty busy week for this guy. So this weeks Locks and Keys is going to feature two NFL games, compared to the usual five or six college/pro mix. Let's get to it! Prediction: OVER 45.5 in Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles Surprised to see this total sitting so low. I understand the Eagles have some banged up playmakers, but both these teams are going to want to throw the ball around. I actually think this has potential to be one of the higher scoring games of the week. I'm going to call it, 34-30 Eagles. Over the total with no need for garbage time points. Prediction: Atlanta Falcons +1 at Indianapolis Colts I've been saying since Lucks retirement that the Colts shouldn't be written off. Brissett is more than serviceable and the AFC south is wide open. I also won on the colts on the road last week. However I think they drop to 1-2 on Sunday. The Indy defense is up and coming, but Atlanta has a ton of firepower and they're used to playing in a dome. Also, if Mack doesn't play, or is less effective than normal, that really hurts what the Colts want to do offensively. I'm tagging this one 31-17 Falcons.

Prediction: New York Giants +6 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers The end of an era. This will be the first start of Daniel Jones' NFL career, and a learning curve is inevitable. Unless you're Gardner Minshew. I do believe Jones takes his lumps, probably commits a silly turnover or two. But so will Winston. Daniel Jones is leading his winless team on the road with very little expectations for the season going forward. Sometimes a team with nothing to lose is the most dangerous mindset for any opposition. I have a feeling the G-Men rally around the kid, playing a little more inspired ball on defense, feeding their workhorse running back and end up stealing this one down in Tampa. I'll take the points, but I don't think I'll need them. 27-24 Giants.
