Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Wishlist (Week 13)

Eddie Rosario, OF, Atlanta Braves – I feel like I talk about a Braves' hitter here every week. This week it’s Eddie Rosario. He has been on absolute FIRE. Over the past month, Rosario is hitting to the tune of .290 with 19 runs scored, nine homeruns and 24 RBI. He is on the strong side of a platoon, but I expect that to change with how he’s been hitting recently.

In a nutshell folks, I want as many shares of this Braves' lineup as possible. Obviously, the guys we drafted but guys like Ozuna, Rosario and Arcia – all need to be rostered.

This week the Braves get the three games in Philadelphia and then three games at Cincinnati, aka the Coors Field lite. Over the past three straight games, he has five runs scored, four homeruns and ten RBI. If you aren’t buying now, then when? (24% Rostered in Yahoo!)

Leody Taveras, OF, Texas Rangers – I wrote about him a couple of weeks back, so I hope you listened. If not, there is still time.

Over the last month, Taveras hitting out of the nine spot: .319 AVG, 17 runs scored, seven homeruns, 18 RBI and two SB. We are witnessing the breakout of Taveras and he needs to be rostered.

Like the Braves, I want as many shares of that Rangers' lineup as possible. Both teams just score runs and they hit and hit well. Texas does not have the best of matchups this week facing pitchers like Cease, Kopech, Severino and Cole but these hitters are matchup proof. Go get Taveras and don’t look back. (39% rostered in Yahoo!)

Braxton Garrett, SP, Miami Marlins – I’m a big Braxton Garrett fan. With the current state of starting pitching, I’m not sure why or how Garrett is not rostered in more leagues.

Over the past month, Garrett is 2-0 with 41 strikeouts, a 2.18 ERA, a 0.88 WHIP and a 11.18 K/9.

He gets Pittsburgh at home this week and he needs to be rostered. His BB% ranks in the 93rd percentile so he’s not walking guys and on the flip side he ranks in the 72nd percentile in K% and Whiff%. Ride the wave! (48% rostered in Yahoo!)

Grayson Rodriguez, SP, Baltimore Orioles and Gavin Williams, SP, Cleveland Guardians - Both are strong stash candidates as I expect/guess both guys to be up before month's end.

Rodriguez - Since being sent down to AAA, has 27 Ks in 18 innings. His last start - 6.0 IP, two H, two ER, two BB, 11 K, 40% Whiff and 38% CSW.

Williams - With the injury to McKenzie, there are rumblings that Williams will take his place in the rotation later this week. On the year he is 4-2 with a 2.39 ERA, 81 Ks, .170 BA and 0.98 WHIP.

If they are not rostered, I'd be looking to get in early instead of waiting to pay a premium. Both guys are the top pitching prospects for their respective teams and again, not to beat a dead horse, but both should probably be stashed. (Rodriguez 31% rostered, Williams 12% rostered in

Yahoo!)

Scott McGough, RP, Arizona Diamondbacks - Crazy that ARZ is leading the NL West. Their closer? Well, it now looks to be McGough.

Over the past month:

15.0 IP, two SV, 20 Ks, 0.00 ERA, and 0.53 WHIP.

I do think Chafin continues to be the high leverage reliever and Castro will likely get some SV

chances as well but it's clear ARZ wants McGough to be the closer. I added this morning.

McGough’s advanced stats:

- 95th percentile in Chase Rate

- 85th percentile in K%

- 80th percentile in Whiff%

- 70th percentile in xBA

That will do for the NL West leading Diamondbacks. Add him if you need a closer. (25% rostered in Yahoo!)
